Help! We made too much snow cone syrup at the end of the season!
A Zap Snowcone in a traditional paper cone is $1.90 including tax. A Zap Snowcone in a wasteful plastic cup with spoon is $2.44. Pick your flavors! :)
Open 11 am - 10 pm. Labor Day Monday is the LAST DAY.

Patricia and Patrick Alesse founded The C Shop in 1971. Even though we're now in the second generation, they're still very much involved. Patricia makes candy and keeps the books while Patrick roasts coffee for The Cafe. Here they are making a batch of Carmel Corn. It's great to be a kid in a can...

This guy just had a birthday! Happy birthday to Keith, the candy maker and fixit guy at The C Shop. He's been back in the family business officially since 2009, but he got his start making candy for the bicentennial! πŸ˜„

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
William Shakespeare evokes our boiling Carmel pot but there is no eye of newt nor toe of frog in this batch.
Sucrose, lactose, glucose, butter;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a heavy cream,
Then the Carmel's firm and goo...

Another one of the things that we're known for (besides homemade candy, fresh-roasted coffee, cinnamon rolls, bread, and pizza) are Patricia's beautiful hollyhocks that are growing in the yard. Even better, if you have a favorite, buy seeds in The Candy Shop so you can bring a bit of C Shop color...

What's our secret? We don't have any! Most all our homemade candies are made with lots of sweet cream butter and pure cane sugar. Come down and see step by step how your favorites are made. This is the first step of Almond Butter Toffee. No mysteries here. πŸ’›

Ice cream tastes better in a cone! Save the earth and choose edible containers. 🌎🍦
We have delicious gluten-free waffle cones from 5b's Bakery so everyone gets to enjoy a cone. Other choices include classic sugar cones, cake cones, and waffle cones.

Super fun candy store! Even if you're not on vacation, this great little shop makes you feel the spirit of summer! Vibrant and friendly, yummy treats for all- highly recommended. Unfortunately I can't speak for the cafe side of the business, I was too distracted by the hand made chocolates and circus popcorn. Satisfy your sweet tooth or pick up a treat for someone on your mind! Genuine Americana.

The original owner is still there! He is a wonderful gentleman, and a wealth of knowledge. His son is handling most of it and the employees are very gracious people. You cannot come to Birch Bay and not stop here. Awesome people, pizza, ice cream and candy! What more can anyone ask for!!!
